The game began slowly with Killarney up 16-10 at the end of the first quarter, but a few minutes in the second quarter, Waterford took control and were to stay in command for the remainder of the game. Following a ten minute delay at half time due a basket being pulled down, a comfortable Waterford side returned and finished the third quarter 56-41. Gleneagles Killarney will be disappointed with the performance of their new American signing William Maysfield, finishing with a lowly 14 points at full time.

A relatively low-scoring game, that saw poor performances from both sides. Limerick’s Tommy Walsh kept his side together throughout, having a great defensive game. The sides remained close throughout, until the third quarter when BurgerKing Limerick stretched the lead to 10 points. Within minutes, Demons had the deficit reduced and looked likely to steal a victory. The fourth quarter saw Limerick increase their attack and Demon’s American Tobe Carberre put up a good fight but to no avail. Shane Coughlan got disqualified from the game in the third quarter and was a loss to Demons for the remainder of the game.

The third quarter decided Killester’s fate, Waterford running in some fast breaks, while Killester missed a number of opportunities. The third quarter finished 44-26 in Waterford’s favour. The last quarter was basket for basket, too late for Killester to make a return, Waterford took home another 2 points to stay at the top of the League table.
