Westfield Sharks Sheffield took a huge step towards the BBL title on Friday night defeating their closest rivals Brighton Bears 89-76 on their
own floor to move four points clear at the top of the table.

The hosts rattled off an early burst to lead 10-0 and controlled the first half leading 46-38 at the interval. 

Chris Finch's men however scored the opening 8 points of the 3rd and enjoyed their first lead of the game  on a Rob Yanders basket with 6.22 to go in the third at 51-50. 

A 9-0 start to the final period by the Sharks put the game beyond their hosts at 76-63 with 7 minutes to play as Brighton's title hopes took a major dent.
