Chester Jets went outright top of the North 1 group in the BBL Trophy, thanks to an ultra-comfortable 122-99 success at home to Sheffield on Sunday evening. 

Nate Reinking opened the scoring with a three
pointer to give Sharks their only lead of the game, but John Thomas bagged 11 first quarter points
as Jets led 28-24. 

A 9-0 start to the second quarter, including six points from Kenny Gregory, saw Chester lead 37-24 and Jets went on to score 46 points in that quarter to establish a 20-point half-time lead at 64-44. 

The closest that the Sharks got in the second half was 19 points at 101-83 with five and a half minutes to go in the game.

Gregory went on to score a game-best 35 points, Thomas adding 34.
