Rolston roasts Mons challenge

FIBA Champions Cup,

Birmingham Bullets 89 (18,42,69)
Mons (Bel) 87 (24,49,67)

Birmingham Bullets moved to the brink of qualifying for next phase of the FIBA Champions Cup form with a fine 89-87 victory over Mons of Belgium on Tuesday evening, strengthening their hopes of a top two finish in the group.

The Bullets posted a strong third quarter to turn around a Mons advantage, mainly thanks to 17 third quarter points from Kyle Rolston which helped grab a 69-67 lead entering the final period.

The hosts maintained a slender advantage going into the final minutes and maintained their cool from the charity stripe to seal the crucial win.

Rolston hit a game high 35 points.
