Birmingham Bullets moved to the brink of qualifying for next phase of the FIBA Champions Cup form with a fine 89-87 victory over Mons of Belgium on Tuesday evening, strengthening their hopes of a top two finish in the group.
The Bullets posted a strong third quarter to turn around a Mons advantage, mainly thanks to 17 third quarter points from Kyle Rolston which helped grab a 69-67 lead entering the final period.
The hosts maintained a slender advantage going into the final minutes and maintained their cool from the charity stripe to seal the crucial win.
Rolston hit a game high 35 points.
