McCord and Dorsey head 1999 All-Star Game Participants

The North and South squads for next weekend's Dairylea Dunkers All-Star Game were announced and for Manchester Giants the news was good. Not only will coach Nick Nurse lead the team for the North but three of his players are in the top ten. Also fielding a duo of stars are hosts Newcastle, Ralph Blalock joined by wildcard pick Chris Fite and Blalock was happy to be there.

"It should be good because I normally shoot well on my home court," commented the Eagles two-time selection. " I just want to perform well and get the win and if I'm hot, maybe I can try for the MVP award!"

Billy Mims leads the South line up, their rankings headed by Thames Valley's John McCord, the MVP of last year's game. McCord is joined by club mates Casey Arena and Jason Siemon. London Towers also provide three players for the side.

Nigel Lloyd of Birmingham is scheduled to make a record breaking seventh appearance for the South. Mims surprisingly selected Eric Burks for his third All-Star game despite the American's relatively poor season.
