Prize Bull takes honours at SBA Awards

To complete yet another outstanding campaign, Ian MacLean, or Bull to his fans and team mates, was named as Scottish Player of the Year for the second year in succession. Adding to the league and cup medals won this season, MacLean led all scorers with a 31.25 ppg average, but may now elect to return to Budweiser League competition next season with the new Edinburgh franchise.

Joanna Sutherland, who was the highest scorer in the Scottish women's league this year with 20ppg, was named as Women's Player of the Year. Sutherland played most of the season for Edinburgh Kings, but will join the German League next season after taking up a post at basketball governing body FIBA in Munich.

Tony Campbell of Troon was named as Men's Coach of the Year, while Laura Bald of Kool Kats took the Women's prize.
