TCS Chester Jets will renew battled with league rivals Springfield Honda Newcastle Eagles in the BBL Championship Play-off Final on Sunday after beating Scottish Phoenix Honda Record Rocks in the semi- finals 74-72 on Saturday night. 

A pulsating final quarter saw Jets come back from five points down at 70-65 to win with nine of the final eleven points, mostly from the free throw line. Rocks’ star Donald Cole had a chance in the dying seconds but could not net the shot and Tony Windless failed to score after winning the rebound. Earlier, 

Jets had just edged the first quarter 17-16 and had extended their advantage in the second to as many as eight points at 31-23. However, Rocks fought back with a 10-2 finish to the half to lead 38-37 and set up an exciting second half. Jets looked to take control again early in the third with an 8-0 start and maintained their advantage to lead 56-49 with two minutes left. Again Rocks battled back to cut the deficit to two points at 60-58 and set up the exciting finale. 

Trey Moore was in brilliant form, netting 29 points for the Jets; Donald Cole added 24 for Rocks.
