SHOE
TEST
'03
Manufacturer:
Reebok The Pitch: Big in Black. What AI wears. So it must be good? The Look: This
is the hip-hop shoe du jour. Sleek, black and under-stated, it comes off
the mean streets frequented by the Angelic Allen and onto the court.
The Shoe: According to Reebok, Reebok Answer 6 features an injection moulded mid-sole and a polyurethane sockliner with a heel cage in between. Now the idea of that is to bring more support in all areas but the result is a lack of flexibility. For running, it feels heavy and for soaring like Iverson.. well, you can't. Cushioning is a further bug bear. It's heavy to land on - no air, no rubber, just a sturdy grip, which is likely to jolt over time. It also lacked ventilation due to the lace cover. Small thing but noticeable after two hours of sweaty endeavour. The Verdict: AThis was due to be an improvement on much-maligned The Answer... it wasn't. It looks great for strutting around but this has not got game. Reebok, must do better. Rating:
6/10
