England Men: Unlucky seven crash to Angola
England's men suffered a heavy defeat in the opening game of the RTP Tournament in Portugal, losing 84-64 to Olympic finalists Angola.
The English suffered a pre-match blow after three of the team had their luggage go missing on arrival in the country, leaving coach Laszlo Nemeth with only seven available personal for the game itself.
Angola led by 15 ponts at half time and were never troubled in the latter stages.
Belgian based duo Chris Haslam and Andy Gardiner led the defeated side with 13 and 12 points respectively but will hope for better things against Egypt on Saturday. Steven Barnes reached double figures on his full debut scoring 10.
Hosts and favourites Portugal were surprisingly defeated by Egypt 62-67.
